Becoming our Agent
1- Must have Insurance License (Life, P&C) in California, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, or Virginia
2- Must have own E&O (or participating in Agency's Group E&O)
3- Binding and Issuing Authorities are granted for working with Hartford, Allied, Travelers, Safeco, Metlife, CNA, CSE, Zenith.
4- Compute and submit your own monthly Commission using previledge access to accounting systems
5- No Production Quotas, however, codes will be disabled if there is no activities in 60 days
6- Capacity and Level of Commimment:
A- CSR: Customer Service Representative, no License, no E&O are required, no quoting, binding authority, receive referral fees. No book of business
B- Trainee: License, E&O are required, can quote, but binding authority is limited, receive commission & book of business
C- Independent Agent: No contract is required, License, E&O are required, can quote, can bind, receive commission & book of business
D- Contractual Agent: Contract to be signed
Agency is not structured in as a Pyramid, and does not support any Multi-Level-Marketing Schemes, No down stream level created for overridding commission
7- Your policies always belong to you. Residual incomes are yours.
Commission and residual rates depends on the experience and commimment level of the Agent to the Agency
The way Money should be handled By the Agent
No Broker Fee: Agent will not charge client any fee, agent will not accept any cash or any check pay to the order of agent or agency
Commercial: Direct bill, do not collect money from client, client will receive bill from the carrier
Personal: Agent must ask client to pay directly to the carrier at least 25%, using their credit card or checking account. Agent can help client to set up EFT for future scheduled payments
Property pays through Escrow: For all HO3, HA5, HO6, DP3 insurance premium to be paid through escrow. Agent must instruct escrow company to send check directly to the carrier
Agent must help Client to initiate a claim and follow up a claim process
Yes: Report a claim / accident as soon as possible to the carrier, explain to client about the process
No: Do not tell the Client that your job is only to sell insurance products.
Remember: That servicing the clients on policies is also your responsibility
Do it yourself Commission procedure
Step 1: Identify your Policy Numbers on each of the Commission Statement from Hartford, Allied, Travelers, National Flood Agency, and other Commercial Carriers
Step 2: Pay attenttion to (+) Income (new or residual) and (-) Charge Back Commission due to policy cancellation
Step 3: Do a simple math and submit your commission table no later than the 20th every month
